About

Many people dream about a motorcycle trip to Alaska yet only few can actually do it. Time, money and family constraints make it difficult. This blog aims to put together useful information for the people who plan to ride their motorcycles all the way to Alaska from lower 48. The mission is to make the Alaska motorcycle trip more possible by sharing useful information. If you rode before, feel free to share your experience here. If you plan to ride and have questions, please ask or share your plans. Knowledge grows when shared.

This blog is dedicated to John Ryan (RIP), a legend and source of inspiration for all kinds of motorcyclists. He rode his 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300 from Alaska Prudhoe Bay to Florida Key West in 86 hours 31 minutes.
